Job Title: Team Lead, Strategic Procurement
Reports to: Unit Head, Strategic Procurement
Job Role: To achieve the best value for money on all procured goods and services
Qualification: A good university degree in any discipline
Maximum Age: 34 years
Minimum Relevant Years of Experience: 8 – 10 years
Functions and Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage the central procurement activities of the Bank in line with approved policies and procedures
- Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities.
- Implement appropriate sourcing strategies to control the Bank’s purchased material costs and to assure an adequate source of supply.
- Develop cross-functional teams to understand company-wide needs and evaluate suppliers.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Implement sourcing strategies to support corporate and units’ objectives, providing the Bank competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies, and services.
- Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future spend areas.
- Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Unit Head, Strategic Procurement
